I believe in the healing power of community. I know that art, movement and meditation are powerful forms of medicine. I am passionate about creating sacred space where these modalities can be practiced.

I am a Creative Arts Therapist who has a passion for guiding women to lead joyful and wholehearted lives. It is such an honor to hold space for women to slow down, experience authentic connection, and tap into the light inside of themselves. It is so refreshing to give myself and others permission to feel a range of emotions and begin to trust that instead of avoiding the shadows, it is possible to mine them for wisdom. I also really appreciate that each class offers the opportunity to experience pure pleasure and delight.

​I want to acknowledge that it takes courage to show up for that first time as it can be somewhat uncomfortable to try something new. In a group. The good news is that there is absolutely no way you can do it wrong and the focus is on finding the place where it feels good and true. One of the greatest rewards found in a Qoya practice is that it offers a way for you to reunite with your body. You may just find that this reunion is the missing piece in your transformation.

When I was pregnant with my first son I spent hours upon hours researching all of these topics. After he was born I began to reflect on what would have made the experience better. I realized that all of this questioning focused on external factors. Much of it on the birth itself- which, while important, was only a small part of the journey. 

After he was born I realized that I had been living with this fantasy that if I did everything perfect- ate the right foods, had the perfect birth, established a successful breastfeeding relationship, etc. that he wouldn't cry. That fantasy lasted two weeks and when he did cry it was pretty devastating. Having fantasies is a normal part of preparing for parenthood. Perhaps we even need these fantasies to help us navigate the unknown. However, I have found that by going within and exploring my fantasies and even my fears, I am more confident in my abilities and better prepared to handle the unexpected.

This time I vow to do it differently. My focus is going inward. I'll be nourishing myself... Slowing dow... Mining the shadows for wisdom...Creating connections with my body and my baby.

Cancellation Policy:
​If you need to cancel for any reason and we can find a person to take your spot, we will refund the amount paid minus a $25 administration fee. If we cannot find a person to take your spot, there are no refunds; however, you can transfer your paid spot to someone else, so you can send a friend or family member to the retreat in your place.
